2024 Leaders Conference Travel Information
Hotel Information
AFA has a block of rooms at the Sheraton Kansas City Hotel at Crown Center and the Westin Kansas City at Crown Center for $183/night. Rates are valid November 5-11, 2024. Hotel reservations should be made by October 17 either online or by calling the hotel. AFA’s rate may not be available after the cut-off date above, or when the room block fills.

Transportation & Directions
Travel, parking or ground transportation is not included in Leaders Conference sponsorship or registration fees. Students and conference guests arriving by car in Kansas City will be responsible for paying for their own garage parking. Students carpooling from their respective campuses is recommended.

Parking: The fee for parking at the Sheraton is $25 for self-parking per day and $35 for valet parking per day. They have added electric car charging stations at the Sheraton and Westin hotels as well.
Air Transportation Information
Flight Information
Students and guests flying into Kansas City for Leaders Conference should use the MCI (Kansas City International Airport). To allow for ground transportation to the hotel, flights for Tracks 1-3 should arrive in Kansas City by 3:00 p.m. Thursday. If you are in Track 4, your flight should arrive by noon on Thursday due to the earlier start time. Following Leaders Conference, you should plan to depart no earlier than 1:00 p.m. on Sunday.

Visit Southwest’s booking site and enter AFA’s ID 99317562 along with your own Rapid Rewards account number and password. Submit and proceed to book your flight. The discount will be pre-loaded when booked through this site for travel between Nov. 5-17.
Ground Transportation from the Airport
5 Guys Transportation
5 Guys Transportation provides executive airport transfers with door-to-door service. This service allows AFA student delegates and guest to share vans. A full van will cost each person as little as $10 each way. If the van is not shared, the cost is $70 per trip. Prices include ALL fees and driver gratuity.

AFA is not responsible for lodging or meals of general attendees outside of the parameters of the program agenda. While we may be able to support extending your hotel stay at the program venue for a longer period of time due to a travel delay, it will be at the cost of the participant or their travel supporter.
