Cancellation Policy

In the interest of protecting AFA sponsor resources, the following cancellation practices will be followed.

AFA Leaders Conference

Oct 3 – Oct 16: A cancellation fee of $200 will be assessed to the student. 

Oct. 17 – Nov 1: A cancellation fee of $300 will be assessed to the student. 

Nov 2 – Leaders Conference: A cancellation fee of $450 will be assessed to the student.

2023 NACD + AFA Sustainability Institute 

Jan. 9 - Jan. 22: A cancellation fee of $200 will be assessed to the student. 
Jan. 23 - Feb. 5:  A cancellation fee of $300 will be assessed to the student. 
Feb. 6 -  Institute:  A cancellation fee of $450 will be assessed to the student. 

2023 AFA Technology Institute 

Jan. 16 - Feb. 12: A cancellation fee of $200 will be assessed to the student. 
Feb. 13 -  March 2:  A cancellation fee of $300 will be assessed to the student. 
March 3 - Institute:  A cancellation fee of $450 will be assessed to the student.

2023 AFA Animal Institute 

March 19 - March 25: A cancellation fee of $200 will be assessed to the student. 
March 26 - April 2:  A cancellation fee of $300 will be assessed to the student. 
April 3 -  Institute:  A cancellation fee of $450 will be assessed to the student. 

2023 AFA Food Institute

March 26 - April 15: A cancellation fee of $200 will be assessed to the student. 
April 16 - May 13:  A cancellation fee of $300 will be assessed to the student. 
May 14 - Institute:  A cancellation fee of $450 will be assessed to the student. 

2023 AFA Crop Science Institute 

June 1 - June 18: A cancellation fee of $100 will be assessed to the student. 
June 19 - July 9:  A cancellation fee of $200 will be assessed to the student. 
July 10 -  Institute:  A cancellation fee of $350 will be assessed to the student. 

2023 AFA Policy Institute

July 6 -  Aug. 6: A cancellation fee of $200 will be assessed to the student. 
Aug. 7 - Sept. 3:  A cancellation fee of $300 will be assessed to the student. 
Sept. 4 - Institute:  A cancellation fee of $450 will be assessed to the student.

 

In the event that the COVID-19 situation is affecting the ability to travel or gather at the time of the event, AFA will waive cancelation fees.

Attendees are responsible for booking and financially supporting their travel to and from the AFA program unless they are a recipient of an AFA travel grant. They are responsible for their travel even in the event the program is canceled due to unforeseen circumstances.

Cancellation fees will be invoiced to the canceling attendee for payment to Agriculture Future of America. Send all cancellations to programs@agfuture.org.
