Heath and Safety Considerations

Health and safety remain important to AFA as we engage with participants and stakeholders.

AFA will plan in-person events unless local jurisdictions or federal travel restrictions place gathering restrictions that prevent the organization from hosting independent programs of an equitable size to our participants and supporters. Individual cancellations will also factor into this attendance threshold.

We will inform participants of local municipalities or hosting facility's policies or restrictions regarding accessibility or requirements such as proof of vaccination, masking, etc. In addition, we will rely on the host facility's sanitization practices and enhance with our own if deemed appropriate.

We encourage all attendees to practice safety when traveling to reduce exposure to illness.

We welcome attendees to reach out with questions to ensure the environment is safe for all.

Waiver of Liability and Cancellation Policy

Participants will be asked to complete a liability waiver to participate in AFA programs which will acknowledge and agree to safety protocols and financial liability of travel expenses incurred should cancellation be required or an individual become ill during travel/the conference.
