AFA'er Sharing Agriculture's Story
We all know the importance of helping the next generation understand where their food comes from. Maggie Voisard, a Track 2 St. Joseph, Missouri, Community Scholar and agriculture education major at Northwest Missouri State, found a practical way to do this through Agriculture Education on the Move this summer.
Agriculture Education on the Move is a ten-week, hands-on education program identifying key classroom objectives and state standards primarily in the areas of science, math, reading and writing. Students gain an understanding of today’s agriculture and farm families through diverse learning experiences. These educational efforts are supported by Missouri Farmers Care. This summer, Voisard volunteered to lead educational efforts at the West Platte Elementary School summer program in Weston, Missouri.
