Community Partners

Community partnerships are one of the primary ways we identify talented young people interested in agriculture careers. Our partners provide scholarships, internship opportunities and leader training for students as they graduate high school and enroll in agriculture degree programs.

The time and money communities put into this effort grants training and professional growth for a local student leader and, over time, helps the industry and the rural community prepare for the future.

Community partners:

  • Raise funds to support an AFA scholarship program

  • Solicit student applications, conduct interviews and select scholars

  • Send their scholars to the AFA Leaders Conference

Matching funds for community partnerships are available in Colorado, Illinois, Iowa, Kansas, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska and Oklahoma. We look forward to providing this opportunity to more communities as matching resources become available. If you or a community organization is interested in establishing a partnership, please contact us.
